I've been wanting to get more into reading lately, so I'll keep kind of like a log for anything new I read.
I've actually read more mangas than books, but I won't log those here..

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" (1999)3.5/5.0 Writer: Stephen Chbosky |
This book is so heartfelt to me because I love Charlie so much and wish I could give him everything he deserves. I actually bought it immediately after watching the movie, which I viewed with tears in my eyes the entire time. I think it's because I watched it in a vulnerable period of time for me, that I felt so so emotionally attached to the characters and everything.. I obviously had to buy the book Charlie is so relatable as a character and I just love him so much. I found reading about his experiences so captivating. | |
"Girl, Interrupted" (1993)3.5/5.0 Writer: Susanna Kaysen |
This book was so captivating, I read it in one sitting which is rare for my short attention span! I really loved reading about each unique 'story'. It was very sad however.. It really explored the nature of mental ilnesses and how it affected each person. This is also another book I read after watching the movie. However I had the book before watching it but had only read around 50 pages. |
